The keys to Real Madrid signing Van de Beek
Zinedine Zidane had his heart set on signing Paul Pogba this summer, but with Real Madrid likely to bring in Donny van de Beek from Ajax, Jose Rodriguezbelieves the Spanish giants are getting a player who has everything to succeed at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodriguez remains the youngest player to ever represent Real Madrid, with his official debut coming in a Champions League tie aged just 17 years and 354 days.
The midfielder has since gone onto play in Turkey, Germany, Israel and the Netherlands, and got a close-up view of Van de Beek during a loan spell in the Eredivisie with Fortuna Sittard in 2018/19.
"He has everything to succeed in Madrid," Rodriguez explained to REMSPORT.
"He's a very good player; not only does he get through a lot of work in the middle of the pitch, but he gets forward a lot."
