Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi earned his first call up to the French national team this month, following his impressive form for the Gunners.
Guendouzi was named on the bench as France romped to a comfortable 4-1 win over Albania, with former Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud getting himself on the scoresheet.

Should Guendouzi be given Laurent Koscielny’s old Arsenal number for the 2020/21 season?
Whilst we are still just under a year away from any decision over squad numbers, he will certainly deserve it if he keeps up his early season form.
Guendouzi was excellent against Tottenham in the North London derby last weekend, setting up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the equaliser in the 2-2 draw.
The Frenchman will now be hoping to continue to impress in the Premier League and keep his place in the France squad heading into the European Championships next summer.
