Super Eagles captain Mfon Udoh says the team made too many mistakes and the lack of concentration cost them in Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Togo in the first leg of the CHAN 2020 qualifiers at Stade de Kegue in Lome.
Udoh told Remsport that the deed has been done, but there’s still a return leg, and enough time for the team to overturn the deficit next month.
“we were very unfortunate to loss, we didn’t play according to the instructions of the coaches, too many mistakes and lack of concentration but the deeds has already been done. We have enough time to correct all our errors.”
He thereafter assured Nigerians that the team will fight back, like wounded lions, to regain Nigeria’s pride of place in African football.
“We have been wounded, bruised and back are against the wall but we’ll fight back like wounded lions and regain our pride, the pride of African football.”
